Imagine you are renting a building for a church plant that you started a few years ago and you have begun to run out of space. What started with a few families has grown to a hundred people and you're bursting at the seams. Now you have a decision to make: will you adjust to the space you have, or move your church somewhere else?
On today's podcast, friend of the show and church planter in Rio de Janeiro Pedro Alexandrino, pastor of Capella Church, joins us to talk about how his context drove his decision on where to move his young church plant. Pedro is a reader, thinker, and leader who brings a ton of passion and insight to this conversation that is wide ranging, challenging, and encouraging. Often we get trapped thinking that if we just acted like our favorite celebrity pastor we could replicate their success in our church, but in reality, every church exists in a unique culture. What works in Seattle won't work in Atlanta and what works in the suburbs won't work in a rural context. We're grateful to Pedro for his insight and his story and we know you'll be inspired by what God is up to in Brazil. LINKS: Pedro Pedro's Church A Video from Pedro's Church Comments are closed.
