Today, on episode 118, we are joined by Nathan Stob, the Director of ATLAS Ministries here in our town of Orange City IA. In our conversation with Nathan, we talk about contentment.
We already know what you are thinking... "Oh, just contentment? Well, I'm good there, I'm content. I'm happy." However, contentment is a major factor for pastors in small church ministry! So many pastors simply struggle with contentment issues, and this hampers spiritual growth and leadership in our 200churches. So, take a listen to episode 118, and see if you need to work on your contentment factor...

What a crazy time we had recording, then editing, then publishing this episode! #116 has easily been the most problematic episode to date!
I (Jeff) usually have episodes uploaded quite ahead of time, but this one we recorded parts of just this week on Tuesday, and then I immediately fell victim to a severe case of streptococcal pharyngitis, otherwise known as strep throat. This week has been a week of physical suffering like I have not known since 1995, and it is taking all my strength to finish this on Friday night, three days late! I wanted to get it out in time for our Australian friends to receive it on their Saturday afternoon. In this episode we talk with Dave "the Animal" Jacobs about humility in ministry, and what it looks like to be a small ego pastor. This is a good one for us to check our pride and think about how we relate to the people in our 200churches. We hope you enjoy it! Do visit Dave Jacobs at www.SmallChurchPastor.com.

Sometimes we wrap up the church year, put a bow on it... or not, and turn the engine off for the summer (or whenever your off-season is). When the new church year arrives, we have to start from a dead stop! We have some thoughts on this, and some ideas for you to keep things moving forward during your off-season, so you already have a little momentum when you're ready to get started again.
CONTINUING MOTION...
As we bring the church year to a close, what can we do?
reading plans What can we do during our off-season to continue forward motion?
