Pastor Michael Nations from Clyde, NC joins Jeff and Jonny LIVE in the 200churches Podcast Studio! Michael is the founding director of The Vital Initiative and is making a difference encouraging small church pastors! We have a new friend!

Jeff met Michael at The Big Little Church conference in Portland, OR in April. They realized that Michael would be in the 200churches area of NW Iowa in May, plans were made, a date was set - and Michael arrived! We had a blast with Michael and realized that his story is very similar to ours in his love and advocacy for pastors of small churches.

Michael is with the Church of God - Cleveland TN. He is working through The Vital Initiative to make a big difference in the lives and ministries of pastors in over 5000 COG churches with less than 100 members!

Michael is a small church pastor making a BIG difference, and he will inspire you as well to believe BIG for what you can do in your context!

Below is a video of Michael in a conversation with the General Overseer of the Church of God, Mark Williams...

I have known Pastor Mike Nations since our youth and he speaks from his heart and represents the Church of God well. The Vital Initiative comes from the reality of pastoring a smaller church and feeling the presures of the numbers thing.....My family has went to the church that he pastors , I got born again in this church ....it is vital to have these churches in our communities!!!!...we need to affirm the Pastor and place value on them as they work hard to make a difference one life at a time. God's greatest to you all

I am very thankful for small churches. As a teenager, I was saved and discipled in a small church . Had it not been for that small church, I would have never been able to fulfill my call in ministry, which is now going on 35 years. Small churches do matter! :) Thank you, Brother Nations!

Lory, your words on the small church are so true! I also was saved and discipled in a small church - and today I am almost 30 years in ministry! Small churches all around the world are making a huge difference in their communities. They should stand tall!

Bro. Mike Nations is a great minister and friend who has made a great impact on all those he encounters by encouraging and connecting with them through vital initiative gatherings.

Michael Nations is a lifelong friend of mine. I had the privilege of reading the Vital Initiative program just shortly after Mike finished his intense study and work on it. I knew then that this was something God had put in his heart to do and now to see the vast difference that he has made and continues to make in the lives of small church pastors is simply incredible. I am proud to call him my close friend and I know that God who had begun a good work in him will complete that work.
