You'll love this episode with Ryan!
Pastor Ryan is a husband, father of four, listener, friend, encourager, and the pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Orange City, IA. Ryan first joined us on the podcast in episode 17, The Pros and Cons of Small Church Ministry, over 100 episodes ago! It was great to have him back, and to have him experience the opulent and luxurious 200churches Podcast Studio, which was not around when he last joined us. Ryan is a fun guy, and we enjoy great chemistry with him, which made the recording time so enjoyable! Ryan offers solid advice and encouragement for pastors of churches under 100. He came to his current church after serving on the staff of a much larger church, and so has gone through that experience of learning how different churches can be, based on their size. Not better or worse, just different. If you've ever cheered for a Pittsburgh team, you're already Ryan's friend. A Pittsburgh native, Ryan was a paperboy, delivering the very sports articles that exalted his beloved Pirates. Ryan understands the importance of home, family, and balancing both with his ministry priorities. We talk about those issues with him. Jonny's New Video Posts We hope you enjoyedJonny's Monday Morning Pastor video, sorry, there is not just an audio version of that yet. Maybe just keep your glasses off and just listen... But seriously - he is going to try a Google Hangout on Air soon! It would be great to be able to hang out with other 200churches pastors! Be looking for that opportunity soon! With Jeff on sabbatical, will there be podcast episodes each week? Absolutely! There will be episodes every Wednesday, right on time, (Lord willing!) as usual. We have recorded episodes through the end of August! That's because we're GOOOD! In August we will have four "Best of" episodes. After more than 130 podcast episodes, we thought we would pick four of the best, and if you're like me, you'll learn a lot of new things the second time around. There are so many new listeners that will be hearing those for the first time anyway. Even with those "Best of" episodes, we recorded all new intro and outro material, so they will also be like new episodes anyway. (we had a ton of fun recording those!) Sabbatical?? As I'm on sabbatical for the summer, I might take some opportunities on Fridays to share my experiences with you... and I might not! I've never done this before, so I want to under-promise for sure. I'm literally in my first few days off, and I haven't left town yet, so I'm not feeling very unplugged. If you want to give me any "sabbatical advice", feel free to leave some in the comments section below! Enjoy episode 120 with Ryan Perz!

Great episode as always! It was a very honest and encouraging conversation. I think the obvious question that did not get asked, however, was: how does Pastor Ryan afford to raise a family of six in a church of 55 people. Would love to know how he does it.
Gary, sorry for the delay in responding to this. This is Ryan Perz. Our church has some very generous people who made it a priority to support missions and a full-time pastor. Comments are closed.
